What is a degen (or ‘DeFi degen’)?

‘Degen’ is short for ‘degenerate’. It’s a label (proudly) worn by those with an obsession for high-risk cryptocurrency investment / trading.

So much so, that they will often prioritize it over other important life activities, such as school, work or sleep.

Degen’s love ‘high risk / high reward’ investment opportunities and the potential of a good story to tell.
